Helle Bank Jørgensen, CEO; B.Accountability
Ms. Bank Jorgensen brings over 25 years of experience advising Boards, leading global companies, investors, governmental and non-governmental institutions, such as Unilever, IKEA, Nike, Lego, Novozymes, Danske Bank, Novo Nordisk, Shell, Pfizer, Monsanto, the Danish Government and the EU on strategy and reporting. She has also advised many companies, the IFC, the World Bank Group, and SIDA on Responsible Global Supply Chains and Natural Capital Accounting, and is a global board facilitator for the world's largest network of responsible businesses. She is now very involved in SDG Reporting and alignment to other reporting frameworks and standards.
She was the creator of the world's first Green Account and later the world's first Integrated Report and first holistic supply chain program. She is the principal organizer for the CEO/Investor-network for Business Ethics and Non-Financial Reporting and has led the CDP-report of the S&P 500 and Improvement of DJSI ranking and investor communication for global and US companies. Further, she was the first in North America to receive Certificate of Achievement for passing the GRI G4 Exam.
She serves at His Royal Highness Prince of Wales Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) Expert Panel; as chair of eRevalue; at the Release Council for the Future-Fit Business Benchmark; at Cornerstone Capital Global Advisory Council; and is a renowned speaker at leading conferences in North America and Europe. She is the author of many thought-leading articles and books about sustainability, climate change, the Sustainable Development Goals, and the roles and responsibilities of Board members. This includes the featured article “Stability through Sustainability” published by West Point - The United States Military Academy. Further she has been interviewed by Bloomberg and Forbes and Financial Times.
Prior to living in Canada, she lived in Denmark and the US, where for 11 years she was a partner with PwC, leading the sustainability and climate change practice. She was appointed as the UN Special Adviser to the Global Compact in 2013 and is also the Founder and CEO of B.Accountability, a certified Woman-Owned business.
