Dr James Fava has spent 40 years supporting businesses and governments to understand the risks and opportunities facing them, and providing guidance, tools, know-how on strategies and actions to enable them to operate in a more environmentally responsible (initially) and currently sustainable fashion. As Chief Strategist at Anthesis Group, Jim continues with this purpose and passion to drive business value (increased revenue, mitigate risks, enhance brand, and reduce costs) from operating sustainably. Anthesis provides world class solutions to enable efficient and effective operations, product compliance, and overall sustainability performance through technical consulting on product and supply chain compliance, facility operations and sustainable chemistry, and strategy consulting. Underlying all of these is software and managed services capability that can drive integration with enterprise systems as well as the ability to dramatically lower the cost of compliance.

Dr Fava has been called the 'father of modern-day life cycle assessment'. Jim has spent the last 25 years promoting and developing the practice and application of life cycle information to support decision making globally. He is a regularly invited keynote, speaker, and workshop facilitator. Key accomplishments include founded and directed the Product Sustainability Roundtable (PSRT) for 24 years. The PSRT brings together the product sustainability leaders of the world's most respected companies, from across the value chain, in a non-competitive environment to provide support, benchmarking, and best practice advice to their product-oriented programs to drive organization change to realize business value - http://anthesisgroup.com/important-milestone-psrt/. Co-founded and played key roles within the UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative, launched in 2002 by UNEP and SETAC to enable users around the world to put life cycle thinking into effective practice.
